Happy Birthday to ME!

Another birthday has come and gone. The one great thing about a birthday is all the extra love people send your way.

My students sang "Happy Birthday" to me in every class period. One student even brought me a beautiful white rose. It smelt fabulous! I had many text messages with birthday wishes too. When I came home, Brent had a dozen red roses for me and we went out to the movies.

On Saturday, I was privileged to dinner at Grandma's house. She made some amazing lasagna and a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. I was showered with wonderful gifts from Grandma and Amy. By this point in my weekend birthday celebration, I am feeling pretty special.

However, Sunday morning everything changed from feeling special to feeling SUPER SPECIAL. Mitchell gave me his choicely selected birthday card. Here is what I saw when I got it out of the envelope.

I laughed so hard that tears started welling up in my eyes. I opened the card up and Mitchell's note to me said that his birthday gift to me was to make me laugh. He was VERY successful.
